XMAS 2016 at Willow Bank

Over the festive period we had school choirs come to willow bank which the residents enjoyed and all the willow bank residents enjoyed a wonderfull xmas day and a great xmas lunch. Followed by afternoon drinks and celebrations.

Latest Events in Laurel Bank

 Over the festive period we had lots going on we had the Churches Together choir in with a church service as well as singing christmas carols. Wilsden primary school children came into the home and sang and danced for the residents who absolutely enjoyed it. We then had a shetland pony come in and the residents were able to stroke and feed the pony. Here's Alan loving feeding the pony.

 
We welcomed back our Elvis tribute who as always got the residents up dancing and singing along.
 
Ethel is always one to get up and dance along and absolutely loves it.  
 

Dawn our activities coordinator set up a chocolate factory for the residents, where they enjoyed a tasty afternoon of chocolate from the chocolate fountain with fruit and marshmallows.

Update at The Beeches

 

On Wednesday 1st June 2016 a couple of our residents went to the County Basket in Leeds. They loved the outing to Country Basket and would love to go back again. There were beautiful flowers, ornaments, arts & crafts, hanging baskets and many more.

 

On Friday 3rd June 2016, we had a clothes party. The clothes party was a success, there were a wide range of clothing for the residents to choose from at a reasonable price too.

 

On Tuesday 7th June 2016, owls came to visit. All the residents had a photograph with the owls and the owls really did make the residents day.

 

On Friday 17th June 2016, Leo Kenny the singer came to entertain the residents. He is a multi-award winning singer.

 

On Tuesday 21st June 2016, we had a church service (Church of England) at The Beeches.

 

On Saturday 9th July 2016, we had our Summer Fayre. It was a great success!! The Summer fayre was at 13.00 until 16.30. We raised a huge amount for the residents fund. The activities coordinators are putting a plan in place, to plan trips out and for singers to come into the Home.

 

On Friday 15th July 2016, Julianna came in to sing to the residents. The residents sang and danced away.

On Tuesday 19th July 2016, we had a church service (Church of England).

On Friday 22nd July 2016, we had a Catholic Church Service – this was a great turn out.

 

 

 

 

Upcoming events

On Wednesday 27th July 2016, we have Anthea the singer coming to The Beeches.

On Tuesday 2nd August 2016, there will be a residents meeting at 14.00, relatives are welcome to come along too.

On Friday 12th August 2016, Julianne is back to sing to the residents.

On Tuesday 16th August 2016, there will be a church service at 14.00.

On Friday 2nd September 2016, there will be a Catholic church service.

On Friday 16th September 2016, Trevor will be singing music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

On Tuesday 20th September 2016 there will be a Catholic church service at 14.00.

On Monday 26th September 2016 there will be a church service (Church of England).

On Friday 7th October 2016, Hannah Heart will be coming to sing to the residents.

On Tuesday 18th October 2016, there will be a Catholic church service.
